Pastor Matt Rappley

Pastor Reverend Matt Rappley was born and raised in Michigan near the city of Flint. He has vowed a lifetime allegiance to The University of Michigan Wolverines. At the age of 24 Matt accepted faith in Jesus Christ. As he enjoyed a successful career in the transportation industry he became a consistent member of his home church. It was there where he experienced a call to vocational ministry. In 2003 Matt moved to Springfield, MO to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology. Between the years he spent at his home church and the years spent in college Matt filled the positions of Youth Pastor, Men’s Director, College Pastor, Staff Intern, and Children and Family Pastor before graduating in 2008 from Baptist Bible College.
After graduation Matt spent almost two years pastoring a Baptist church in IA. January 2010 Matt became the pastor of Judson Baptist Church. He has a heart to mobilize the church outside of the building into the community. During the time in Iowa he had an opportunity to enter the volunteer fire and emergency medical services. Being licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Matt uses his credentials to serve as member of the La Vista, NE Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. He counts this opportunity a great privilege to serve his community and a chance to take ministry outside the church.
Currently, Matt is studying at Sioux Falls Seminary in Sioux Falls SD. He plans to complete a Master’s of Divinity Degree and graduate by spring of 2016. Matt is happy to continue ministry at Judson and looks optimistically at her future.
